Comments from people & organisations for whom we've organised and/or helped with dog shows, or charities/good causes we've raised money for.

19/06/17 - Just received this really nice Facebook message from Simon Brown, following the CDS we did at Priors Marston on 17th June 2017:

Thanks Sue and Brian, for all of your hard work - as Chairman of the Sports Club I would like to express our gratitude to you both.

16/06/07 - Jackie received this lovely e-mail from Laura, following our dog show at Newlands House, Netherseal, Derbyshire, on 10th June 2017:

What an amazing day and thank you is not enough.

Catch up next week and have a lovely weekend too.

 Take care

 Laura

Here is a photo of the display board prepared by Jackie, that was on view at our fun dog show at Newlands House.

08/04/17 - We've just received this lovely letter from Breast Cancer Now.

05/09/16 - Thank you to the East Midlands Dog Rescue (EMDR) Crew & Hounds for the lovely card and voucher.  It was our pleasure to run the dog show yesterday!

11/07/16 - We just received this lovely letter from Leonard Cheshire Disability Home, Newlands House, in Netherseal.  We hosted a dog show as part of their Annual Fete, along with our good friends Jackie & Roger Hart, in June 2016,

29/08/15 - 2015 was the seventh consecutive year we've organised the Companion Dog Show at the Kennel Club's International Agility Festival, and this year was a bit different as Brian judged Scruffts and the Novelty classes.  We've just received this lovely letter from the Kennel Club!!

03/07/15 - We just received this fantastic letter from Newlands House, Netherseal, following the Fun Dog Show we organised and ran for them as part of their fete in June, 2015.  It was a fantastic event - we hope you all enjoyed yourselves, and the £530 we all raised at the dog show made a big contribution to the overall amount generated by the fete!

12/06/15 - Here is an e-mail from Jackie Hart, who organises the Netherseal Fun Dog Show with us:

I called in on Wednesday to take the rest of our monies & everyone was overwhelmed how busy/popular the dog show is & couldn't thank all of us enough for the amount of money raised.  The fete itself made around £5000 but they had to take the price of the bbq off that so our £530 (plus gate charges & food/drink from the entrants) played a big part in that.

Thank you both for your hard work before & on the day.  2 shows in - what a great start to your '2015 Tour'.

12/04/15 - We received this lovely e-mail from Jackie Hart, a great supporter of Heart of England Dog shows - and I can confirm Jackie's comment re the massive 'most appealing eyes' class - there were 46 dogs in that class!

Hi Sue & Brian

What a superb amount of money raised on Sunday - you should be very proud to have so many followers & there were a few missing at that !  All the background work must be well worth the happy smiling faces of the owners showing their fantastic dogs off . . . . . .

I can't believe Cindy came 1st in the massive 'most appealing eyes' class - she just focused on our judge when it was her turn & did her famous body shake without taking her feet off the floor !

What a great result for Cindy & Sam to get a 'Golden Envelope' in the fancy dress class (their 6th one between them) - lots of fun was had making their garden coats with help from my friend Pam who knew nothing about dogs or fancy dress before & she is so happy with the results !  Even better then to go on to be awarded Reserve Fancy Dress Champion - I am so so proud of my lovely rescue dogs.  I have attached a photo of them showing off their gardens/fantastic Res Champion Rosette - thank you to all the judges for awarding their Rosettes/Golden Envelopes throughout the indoor season.

Look forward to your summer shows.

Ttfn Jackie

What can LSR say but Wow you've done it again and Thank You, Thank You, Thank you . Chris told me what a lovely day it was and how well it went.

I for one, am so glad it did, for so many different reasons. The people, dogs, yourselves and the charities which have benefitted once again from your hard work.  Well you can take a well deserved break until the next show needs sorting; so you should all get at least one or two good nights sleep before your nose is back on the mill stone :0)
Keep up the fantastic work
Susie x

A Facebook message from Lisa Doody, on behalf of Ruffluck Rescue on hearing that they'd be receiving a cheque for £290 as a result of funds raised at our Companion Dog Show at Daventry Community Centre, on 27th January 2013:

Thank you so much - we have just taken on seven dogs that were to be put to sleep, four have kennel cough and one is in a real state - only six months old and full of worms - so this is fantastic news!

A letter from Sheila Tremellen MBE on behalf of the Protection of Unwanted Puppies Society (PUPS):

An e-mail from Susie Marston on behalf of Leafy Shade Rescue:

I'm still grinning at the amount you have raised!
We have just taken in an African grey (parrot) who has lost his dad. He spent 3 days locked in the house with a dog and his deceased dad. He has been so stressed he has started to pluck at himself, so it's off to the vets tomorrow, and on Thursday it's off to the warehouse for lots of new toys for him and may be a couple of mirrors. Oh and I'm ordering a pair of animal handling gauntlets so I don't get bitten every time I go to fetch one!

Plus a certificate!

A Facebook posting from Jean Tompkinson, on behalf of Prospectors Canine Training Club, for whom we judged and stewarded a Fun Dog Show at Cannock, Staffordshire, on 14th October 2012:

Thanks for a brilliant job, everyone had a fantastic day!

We just received this e-mail from Allan Leroy, on behalf of the Harpole Scarecrow Festival Committee and All Saints' Parochial Church Council, regarding yesterday's Fun Dog Show at Harpole Bowls Club.

Dear Brian and Sue,

I was delighted to hear from Gerrie yesterday evening that the Dog Show was such a great success.

The number of people who attended, both with dogs and as spectators, clearly showed the level of interest and enthusiasm and the fact that everything went so smoothly is testament to the skill which which which you both ran the event.

I was very disappointed not to get to the show myself but because I was in charge of the main car park at the other end of the village it was impossible for me to leave: car drivers left to their own devices do not generally behave logically in an unmarked field!

I am sure that I echo the feelings of the All Saints' Church Parochial Church Council in sending you our very grateful thanks for your skill, kindness and generosity, not to mention patience in the planning stage. We are also extremely grateful to receive the proceeds of the show, £309, which will help us considerably because we have had some large bills lately for the maintenance of the church.

I understand from Gerrie that there is enthusiasm for a similar event next year. The modern Olympics started in the 1890s and have done rather well so every tradition has to start sometime!

Once again, many thanks from us all.

With best wishes,

Allan

We got such a nice thank you from Gerrie & Allan on behalf of the Harpole Scarecrows Festival for the Fun Dog Show we put on for them today.  We had a brilliant time!

We just received this letter from Leafy Shade Rescue, one of the charities who benefitted from the Fun Dog Show we organised at Court Lane Allotments in Birmingham in July 2012:

A Facebook posting from Beth Ring, on behalf of Wolves & Woofers, for whom we judged and stewarded a Companion Dog Show at Little Staughton, Bedfordshire, on 19th August 2012:

A letter from the Kennel Club, for whom we organised a Companion Dog Show at their International Agility Festival at Rockingham Castle, Leicestershire, on 11th August 2012:

A Facebook posting from Julie Leadbeater, on behalf of the National GSD Club, for whom we organised a Companion Dog Show at Markfield, Leicestershire, on 12th August 2012:

A Facebook posting from Simon Brown, on behalf of the Finnish Lapphund Club of Great Britain, for whom we organised a Companion Dog show, at Napton, Warwickshire, on 4th August 2012:

On behalf of the Finnish Lapphund Club Of Great Britain I would like to say a huge thank you to Brian and Sue of Heart of England Dog Shows, Judge Chistine Owen and her ring steward for a fantastic show.

I would also like to thank all of those who brought their dogs to the show and helped make it the great event that it was - even the weather gods were kind to us, well after the first class they were.

Thank you again for putting on such a well run show - see you next year, same place, same weekend.

A message from Jackie, who played a major role in the organisation and sponsorship of Saturday's fun dog show at Newlands House, Derbyshire, on 9th June 2012:

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments re Newlands House Fun Dog Show on 9th June & hope you all enjoyed the afternoon.  Jasper was in fine spirits & did a sterling job judging his class.  He had a day of rest yesterday but has been on his usual walks today.  We raised £197 from the show + there was £78 left over from the sponsorship (after paying for rosettes/prizes) so we will have great pleasure in handing £275 over to the Newlands House residents fund, taking Jasper with us of course.

We also want to thank Sue & Brian for making the show possible & Chris for being our judge.  The beautiful 'Jaspers Choice' rosette Sue presented Jackie with was a lovely surprise & we wish them every success with Heart of England Dog Shows.

Jackie, Roger & Jasper
